Adobe Session 4 – Pushing the Limitations
My laptop HATED me this adobe session.
In this session, we learnt how to make a symbol, as well as how to make 3D shapes in Illustrator. I thought this was quite cool, although initially struggled a lot technically, as I had a RAM error show up on my computer when trying to render a 3D coffee cup. Illustrator also crashed on me several times, which was quite frustrating. Despite this, I did get the hang of the task eventually and created some interesting 3D shapes. I can also understand how this could be used in terms of created digital designs for garments and understanding product design through a three-dimensional perspective. Admittedly my coffee cups also definitely do not look like coffee cups.

After this, we looked at creating text in perspective.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of time it took to complete these activities, we weren’t able to have our reflection time at the end of our session, meaning I didn’t receive any feedback on any of my work. However, I feel like through the peer review session and my group tutorial, I have enough active feedback to still create work to a good standard.
