Peer Review 2 – The Final Review

The last ever IFS session! How crazy! I cannot believe how much I’ve grown in skill and confidence over these last few months and how much that’s reflected in the work I’ve produced. I’ve honestly learnt a tremendous amount and realised I’m capable of anything I put my mind to. I’m so grateful to have had these experiences with design and media and I know that the things I’ve gained from those pathways will certainly help me moving forwar.

This session we did our final peer review and I was pleasantly surprised by the interactivity of my group, as I find I don’t tend to have the best luck with these sessions. However, my group had only good feedback for me during the session saying my blog was easy to go through and that my business work was good as well and flows nicely. They didn’t point out any pressing issues, although I don’t know if this is a good thing or not, as they could have been holding back out of politeness. After the session ended though, one of my group mates who took our emails actually emailed me her feedback, which was really thorough and quite positive, although she pointed out areas of improvement too. I was super grateful for this, although as most of her critique was on design, I probably won’t be implementing these changes as design is not my pathway and the work I do have so far I feel like is enough for a solid pass.

Tutorial Reflection:

I decided to choose the last slot for tutorial days with Sarah, as I knew that by then I would have all, if not most of my business work done and ready to show her to get any feedback on it for submission. I was really happy with how the tutorial went overall, actually, and I got really great feedback that shows my hard work has definitely paid off. The only minor adjustments I had to make were to my SWOT analysis where I added some extra information to the opportunities and weaknesses sections.

Overall, this tutorial ultimately concludes this unit for me, and I’m really excited for what’s to come starting next week with our business pathway sessions. So far, I’ve received encouraging feedback from both tutors and peers and feel like I’m heading in the right direction towards where I want to be, which is Fashion Management next year.
